LEGO THERAPY

LEGO THERAPY is an evidence based approach that aim to develop social and emotional communication skills.

It is very popular with children who love to create, build, construct and plan.

As Lego is an accessible resource all around the world, it doesn't require much explanation or rules.

In LEGO Therapy the small group of children will work as a team to develop the following skills:

* negotiation
* turn taking
* problem solving
* listening
* sharing

With the support of the
facilitator (the therapist), each participant will be assigned tasks, roles and responsibilities, and together they will work towards a common goal and desired outcome.

This approach is fun, interactive, non threatening and proven to be effective in developing social and communication skills in children who may struggle to:

* work in a small group
* develop their listening skills
* find social situations stressful or difficult
* express their own ideas and thoughts
* settle in to new social situations
